Establishments, Icons, and Historic Eastover 

Duke Mansion – Explore the grounds of James Buchanan Duke’s former home. James Duke is the name behind Duke University and Duke Energy. Built in 1915, this house currently runs as a nonprofit to preserve and maintain the history of the building. Stay a night or rent out the space for any event.

Mint Museum – With locations in Uptown and Randolph, this museum is a great activity for any age. The Uptown location holds collections of American, European and contemporary art (Mint Museum). The Randolph location offers work from ancient Americas, European and African art, as well as ceramics (Mint Museum).

Frazier Park – Great for the outdoor enthusiast and your four-legged companions. Frazier Park offers a soccer field, tennis courts, a dog park and serene trails. 

Manor Theater – This iconic neighborhood art house theater called Charlotte home for 73 years. Closing in 2020, Manor Theater served the city with seven decades of cinema and holds some of the best memories people can remember.

Stagioni – Four Seasons of Food – A quaint restaurant serving crafted Italian cuisine. Chef Bruce Moffett is dedicated to serving traditional flavors with personal hospitality. 

Ruru’s Tacos + Tequila – With its location in the heart of Myers Park, Ruru’s holds charm and character. Their food is authentic Mexican with hints of Latin, Korean and Greek (Ruru’s Tacos). Along with their culture, their menu item names are a must-read.

Napa on Providence – Bringing the experience of Napa Valley to Charlotte, this divine restaurant serves creations that are tried and true.

Laurel Market – This local favorite serves as a neighborhood market with a deli market, wine and beer. Come for a quick lunch or to refill on your favorite wine.
