Golf on the Rise

Throughout these past years, the pandemic has changed how people live their lives. Gyms closed and people had to find new ways to stay active. Golf has been an important outlet for many people recently, as it is a sport that gets you outside and is social-distance friendly. Golf has peaked in popularity these recent years, especially in North Carolina. Major golf tournaments are now being played all around North Carolina. As a resident at The Regent at Eastover, live in luxury while being in the center of the multiple top-ranked country clubs North Carolina has to offer.

Settled outside of Charlotte is Pinehurst Resort, which holds nine manicured golf courses that attract hundreds of thousands of people a year. According to Axios Raleigh, Pinehurst Resort saw numbers of over 400,000 rounds played in 2021 as opposed to the 340,000 rounds played in 2019. Also, Pinehurst course No. 2 will be the new home of the USGA U.S. Open in 2024, 2029, 2035, 2041, and 2047. Residents at The Regent at Eastover are only a short drive to one of the largest golf events held in the U.S.

Pinehurst Resort isn’t the only North Carolina course gaining attention and popularity. In early June, both the Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club in Southern Pines hosted the U.S. Women’s Open. In the fall, Quail Hollow in Charlotte will host the Presidents Cup (Axios Raleigh). The Regent at Eastover provides an ideal location around these golf courses and allows you to refine your skill.
